Frequently asked questions
At SL Rubbish Clearance we are often asked various questions so have developed this FAQ’s page to help our customers find answers to popular questions, without the need to pick up the phone. Of course you can contact us any time if you have a question that you cannot find the answer to on our website. We are here to help.
How much do your clearance services cost?
We like to give all customers a personalised quote for the work. Unlike skips with a fixed cost regardless of whether you use it all or not we only charge for what we take.
Is there a minimum charge?
We have a minimum call out of £50 and this does cover and include collection and clean up for many domestic, commercial and trade visits.
Why is there not a fixed charge by weight?
Are you registered and licensed?
Yes, fully. This gives everyone peace of mind and confidence that everything we collect will be managed in the correct way. Using unlicensed collection agents is dangerous as if your waste is fly-tipped it is you that is responsible for it and will receive a £1000 fine minimum and possibly also have legal action against you.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured. For all work we undertake there is full insurance so you have no need to be concerned and can use our clearance services with full peace of mind.
How long does it take to clear a site?
Obviously this all depends on the volume and type of waste, but our clearance crews will remove everything in a safe and timely manner, time estimates are available with on site quotations.
Do I need a permit?
No, unlike skips there are no permits for you to worry about. We manage everything from here, and under our license and regulations you can be assured that as much waste is recycled as is possible, and we are always looking for ways to improve this.
Wouldn't a skip be easier?
If you have a skip you need to load it yourself, and remember anyone could dump anything in it if left unattended. You may need a permit and also it could be up to two weeks before collection. You also pay for the skip regardless of the weight or volume you actually use.
What can you remove for me?
We can remove all types and volumes of waste, and using our flexible service you only pay for what we take away. No fixed prices and restrictions like there can be with skip hire.
